  • Our process ensures that the breastmilk are in direct contact with our disposable single used customized trays. All the tools are also either autoclaved/Uv/sanitized or disposable each round.

  • The freeze drying process uses sublimation to remove only water molecules from the frozen breastmilk. This is why it is an excellent process in keeping nutrients intact for all kind food sample.

    Fun fact: Same technique for NASA space-food too!

  • Our facility is ISO13485 certified facility lab with ISO 6 humidity-controlled clean booth that is built to area-ratio HEPA filter. One of our clean booth has 15 HEPA filters!

  • ISO 13485 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Establishing an international gold standard such as ISO 13485 is important because the sector is highly regulated. As safety and quality are of utmost importance in the medical device manufacturing industry.

  • Please put them in ziplock bag. We will prepare the cooler bag & ice packs for you. Our designated logistic partner will pick them up at your doorstep.

  • We can discuss & come out with a date that works best for us! :)

  • It depends on how many packets you sent to us.

    If you opt for 1 to 1 packaging, 40 frozen bags = 40 LyoBB bags

    If you opt for standardized packaging, it will depend on your milk content.

  • 1) The breastmilk is encouraged to be frozen flat. The breastmilk must be stored in a lactation bag. We do not accept milk stored in glass containers, Ziplock bags, or those not sterilized and sealed for use as lactation bags.

    2) The breastmilk must be stored in freezer and has not been previously thawed.

    3) The lactation bag has not been damaged or filled with dirt on the surface.

    4) Breastmilk collection was handled safely according to the guidelines by HPB.

  • Once your order is confirmed, the turnaround time after receiving your breastmilk, is dependent on the volume to freeze-dry and the amount of orders received. We estimate that the processing can take 5 working days to 2 weeks. We will process your breastmilk in the order that it was received. Please allow extra processing time for large orders.

  • There is no minimum volume and the maximum volume per bag is 180-200ml. Do that note that each bag of breastmilk would be packed per mylar bag.

    (For 1 to 1 packaging) If your milk bag is less than 100ml, we will combine two packets of your milk into one LyoBB bag. For more details, please contact us!

  • During the freeze-drying process, around 90% of water is removed from the milk. Thus, for 100ml of breastmilk send, you will receive around 10g of breastmilk powder. There will be instructions on the bag on the amount of water to be added back, to get the same consistency as the original breastmilk.

  • Your freeze-dried breastmilk powder is sealed in individual, light-weight standing bags, that are easy to carry around. Just mix the powder with warm, drinking water and it turns into milk.

    Breastmilk powder can also be added onto solid foods for a nutritional boost anytime.

    Here are some tips for dissolving the powder:

    • Use ~40deg warm water

    • Swirl the bottle to mix

    • If clumps remain, run the bottle under warm water, then swirl bottle again.

    • Depending on the fat content of the milk, it may take a bit longer for the fats to dissolve. For high fat content milk, swirling for up to 4-5 minutes may be necessary.
