LyoBB started with the goal of finding a better way to preserve the nutritional value of breastmilk for long-term storage. Singapore’s topic of food sustainability encouraged the idea of minimizing breastmilk wastage due to degradation and spoilage by providing the best form of protection using our freeze-drying technique. LyoBB also promotes the importance of breastmilk for healthy infant development.

BioAcumen Global is an ISO13485 certified laboratory and it has been offering freeze drying services for more than 7 years. With the support of In-house Scientist, BioAcumen Global was proudly featured in The Straits Time in 2021 to be the first freeze drying facility in Southeast Asia (SEA).

Jimmy Toh - Chief Scientist
Jimmy Toh is the Director and Chief Scientist of BioAcumen Global Pte Ltd, the parent company of LyoBB Services. With more than 10 years’ experience in A*STAR, he can provide scientific consultation for whole workflow of molecular biological assays in various industries. BioAcumen Global has been offering freeze drying services in Southeast Asia for more than 7 years under his leadership. In 2022, due to Singapore’s topic of food sustainability, he started to look into freeze drying of breastmilk. For more than a year’s research and development, he finally lead the team to successfully launch the services in the beginning of 2023.
Jly Lim - Research Officer
Jly Lim is a Research Officer of BioAcumen Global Pte Ltd. Graduated as a biomedical student from Newcastle University, a world-class research-intensive University based in the North East of England equipped her well with all the research knowledge and capability. She participated human studies in research institute, and was being awarded a research project prize. With more than 3 years experience in healthcare industry, she is in- charge-of all the research in LyoBB project.
Amy Chua - Laboratory Assistant
Amy Chua is a Laboratory Assistant of BioAcumen Global Pte Ltd. She was graduated as a biotechnologist from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), one of the top private research universities in Malaysia. Having experience working in an ISO certified laboratory, she is well trained with all the protocol compliance to ISO. With more than 4 years’ experience working in laboratory, she has a strong and professional lab background. Her expertise ensures and contributes to the quality products.
Calista Loh - Laboratory Assistant
Calista Loh is a Laboratory Assistant of BioAcumen Global Pte Ltd. With a degree in Biomedical Science from La Trobe University and four years of laboratory experience, she demonstrates exceptional proficiency in lab skill. Being a medical laboratory technologist in government hospital, she is well-trained to perform tasks according to stringent laboratory SOPs and HSA regulations. Her training and expertise ensure high standards and contribute to product quality. This background demonstrates her capability to handle breastmilk freeze-drying lab work with precision and excellence.
